Local residents are preparing for a 30-day ICE surge – even though conditions in Haiti are more dangerous than ever\, thousands of children could be separated from their parents\, and the Hatian community has helped fuel the small town’s economic comeback. \nWe stood up for Springfield\, Ohio\, when JD Vance and Donald Trump lied about Haitians who live and work there during the 2024 campaign\, and we’re doing it again now. Join us to hear from local residents and legal experts\, help raise funds for local groups providing direct support to Hatian families in Springfield\, and take action\, no matter where you live.

DESCRIPTION:Cleveland Heights Democrats\, Chagrin Gateway Democrats and a wide array of other groups\, are hosting Resistance Fair 2026–Saturday\, February 21 from 1-4pm at Cleveland Heights High School Cafeteria\, 13263 Cedar Rd. in Cleveland Hts\,–because it is more important than ever to defend the institutions and people that actually make America great. \nThe Fair will provide opportunities for people from across NE Ohio to engage with a wide range of organizations that are working to promote democracy\, defend those targeted by the Trump regime and work for social and economic justice. Resistance Fair 2026 is an improved version of Resistance Fair 2025 which drew over 40 organizations and upwards of 1500 attendees. This year the Fair will have a streamlined registration process\, family friendly activities and action steps to be taken at the event. \nPlease RSVP to register ahead of time to join the express line at the event. Enter through the door on the northeast side of the building. The parking lot closest to the event is entered from Washington Blvd. and is between the school and the baseball field. If the CH-UH High School parking is full there is plenty of free street parking around the High School.
